Lucky dogs
The
fairy tale doesn't always end with the hero/heroine riding off into the sunset but these dogs
have been given another chance. We don't always know where they go, but when we do hear
anything, we will try to pass on the news. This month these dogs found new homes, many of them
going to agility homes so watch out them on the show circuit.
Dogs are featured in alphabetical
order.

Update:
Bo has moved to Happy Ending
Rescue. (20/01/11)
Happy Ending:
Bo has gone to a liovely home and they
adore him. (10/07/11) |
BO
History:
Bo was rescued from a compound with his brother. They had both spent the first 12 weeks
of their life penned.
Description:
Bo is suffering from a lack of socialisation so
not surprisingly he is a bit nervous of all new situations. He is a sweet little dog who
is currently fostered with several other dogs and he causes no problems with them. New
things scare him and he needs an owner to teach him everyday skills. At the moment, Bo's
reaction is to run away from things that worry him, so we do not want him becoming
defensive.
Rehoming
criteria: We are advertising Bo on Agilitynet
only as we believe his breed mix would make him a good agility dog and we
want a dog-savvy home for him to ensure that his social skills are urgently dealt with. I have his brother who has come on leaps and bounds over the past 3 weeks and there was
nothing between them except Bo was terrified of my 3 year old son and ran from the room
all day whenever my son entered (then again, who wouldn't?!) and his brother was more
relaxed around him. Bo deserves a decent home after his terrible start in life and an
owner that can show him that life can be pleasurable.
Child friendly: Very scared of youngsters so older please.
Able to live with cats:
Possible, due to his age.

Happy Ending: Buzz has gone to a new home. (06/07/11) |
BUZZ
History: Buzz
was rescued from being pts from Ashton Pound in
Dublin just before Christmas.
Description:
Buzz is a gorgeous wee boy, full of mischief but also loves cuddles. He is really eager
to learn and is responding well to a clicker. He is a lively little boy and loves running
around and playing with my collies. He is just a typical Jack Russell puppy with loads
to offer. As Buzz came from
Ireland, his tail has been docked.
Rehoming criteria: I
would like Buzz to go to an agility home where he will be kept active and stimulated. Any
prospective home will be home checked and a rehoming contract will need to be signed.
Child friendly: Yes,
but will not rehome to a family with small children.
Able to live with cats: I
haven’t got any cats to test him in a house with but he doesn’t chase them when out for a
walk.
Age:
Approx 5 months

Neutered: No,

(07/07/11) |
POPPY
History: Poppy came into rescue because she is too bright and energetic for her current owners who
are used to calmer dogs.
Description: Poppy
is a medium-sized dog who will make a fabulous family pet.
She
is very well socialised with dogs and people, a good jumper
and well
trained.
Rehoming
criteria: Poppy
would suit an active home, and she is very, very bright and eager to learn which would
make her ideal for agility.
