	CBBC filming request for agility dogs CBBC's hit Saturday morning show The Sorcerers Apprentice is urgently looking for 8 x Grade 6 and above agility dogs to take part in some filming on Monday, 4 August 2008. The filming is going to be taking place in Worcestershire so owners from the near by area would be preferable as we are only able to provide petrol costs as well provide both dogs and owners with lunch. The filming involves twelve selected children (with no previous experience in dog agility) learning the basic skills of agility and after a couple of hours training taken the dogs around a course. The dogs that we are looking for would need to be happy around children and other dogs. We have two professional handlers on site that will be overseeing the filming and the training of the children. 	Demo equipment for Stevie the Wonder Dog Stevie, the blind retriever, is doing a little demo for his rescuers at their reunion in Bath on 20th September and needs to borrow some equipment. He only needs 3 jumps, an old style famed tyre, a tunnel and a set of weaves for a couple of hours. I'm not able to go down there myself and so was hoping a club  local to Bath could come to the rescue.  We'd be ever so grateful! 	Hand signals for deaf dogs I have been reading your letters on training deaf dogs for agility using hand signals. I have just started agility with my dog and have to use hand signals.  I am interested in how to teach my dog the 'go left' and 'go right' commands using hand signals.  I am concerned that I am going to confuse him if I don't have clear enough signals as he will be moving at the same time when the signals will be given.  I would be very grateful for any advice on how to teach these moves and what hand signals to use that would be clear and precise and any other advice that would be useful. This project is lead by Noa Safra DVM PhD, a Weimaraner Breeder and WCA member since 1996. The goal of this research is the discovery of DNA markers for multiple Weimaraner inherited diseases. The success of this project is directly related to the number and quality of the DNA samples provided for the research. 	Seeking to re-home a young adult cocker or cavalier, preferably black and white and small type We are able to offer it a long term loving, family home with us in a quiet village location near Loch Lomond in Scotland. We have no young kids and a totally secure garden. We are  experienced dog owners having had our previous ones for 13 and 14 years until sadly due to ill health they had to be put to sleep. A suitable candidate would be a house trained small bitch but either would be considered. Must be able to live with cats and travel well. Our home is open to vet at anytime and animal trade references are available from kennels and vets who know us and have dealt with us for many years. We are able to pay a small fee or donation to charity only, but if you are looking for a1 home you have just found it. 	Plastic dog bed, collars leads or unwanted toys for Greek dogs There is a work party going to Greek Animal rescue where the dogs have nothing. They are in desperate need of plastic dog beds, collars, leads toys and medical supplies including flea and worming treatment. A van and team of people are going in September and October to do some building work primarily concreting and building a shelter so they can get out of the weather . Fight Flab with Fido	Has Agility made you healthier? If so, The Kennel Club would like to hear from you. They are looking for people who can tell them about any dramatic improvements they have noticed to their health or for any great weight loss results that have been achieved, through taking part in agility. The information will be used as part of our Fight the Flab with Fido awareness campaign which aims to get more people to recognize the health and fitness benefits of taking part in the sport. 	Help with caging I am soon to take delivery of a new Vauxhall Combo van and want it fitted out. I have four dogs but one is small so maybe three or four cages with room to pack stuff.
