Max Carpenter is dog mad
Name:
Max Carpenter (16)
Area: I live in West Sussex (UK)
Dog: My dog's name is Summer and she is a Border Collie. Me and my dog compete in
Agility and have done so for four years now (She is five.) We have won a fourth place rosette
in a Elementary jumping competition.
About me:
I am 16 years old born in 1988 (male) and love
dogs. I am working in a full time job in a good work place and have made many new friends
there. I spend time with my dog as much as I can after I get home from work or weekends while
my mum looks after our dogs during the day. We have four dogs in total, two Border Collies and
two St. Bernards. I know we must be mad.
I have a website at www.dog-mad.com all about are dogs and you can find more information there.
I also enjoy badminton once a week with some work mates, swimming, going out with mates and the occasional party. I really enjoy listening to rock music but not the shouty type. I go abroad often and learn a bit of every language I visit (I know a bit of Spanish, French, Greek and German) However only speak in en English or you will lose me.

Justine in Portland Oregon would like to exchange links.
Hi
Everyone -
This is the lady in Oregon. I wrote several weeks ago asking about Crufts and a nearby Agility show. Thank you everyone for the wonderful response! I am looking forward to meeting you all in the spring.
My club finished our last show for the year, a USDDA. My red Sheltie finished his (Master Agility Dog (MAD) title. See fun pix of our costume fun run/ distraction course. I was the dancing skeleton that threw toys. If you have web site and want to exchange links, just write.

Hello from Down Under. I love obedience, tracking and agility!
Hi everyone -
Name: Joanne Samuelson
Area: I live in Perth (Australia) which is on the west coast.
Dogs: I have Australian Kelpies and Kelpie crosses which I train in agility, obedience
and tracking.
Both Karla and Clyde commented tracking this year and obtained there Tracking Qualifying Test passes in the first season which is only 16 weeks long here in Perth because of the heat and snakes.
Training: I myself am a Novice trainer of only 12 years, obedience for the most part but the last couple of years in agility and tracking also. My passion is tracking because of the bonding with your dog. It is the only sport where you have to trust your dog to make the decisions, but I love agility because of the fun. My favourite thing is spending time with my dogs whether it be training or going to the beach for swimming. I'm lucky to have one of those understanding husbands who doesn't complain about me doing doggie stuff all the time.
I'm just looking for someone who loves working their dogs and doesn't take the training realllllyyyyy seriously but thinks of it as fun and games with their dogs. But on the other hand, does like to train their dogs to perform at the best level they can.

I'm looking for new agility people like us, but also would welcome people who also use their dogs for livestock work.
Name:
Elizabeth Shank (female)
Area: Indiana (USA)
Dog: Ty (Border Collie) He enjoys agility night, but doesn't seem interested in
Obedience class.
Training: This is the first year for our 4H club to have agility. This is my son's
(age 14) second year of obedience in 4H.
About Me: We have cattle and Ty helps with keeping cows in place when we're feeding, fixing fence, etc. Last year Ty acted up most every night of practice but in the 4H show (which was outside instead of inside like practice) he did very well, placing fifth out of 11 dogs so he clearly likes being outside. Anyone have similar experiences?

Looking for pen pals, preferably with Aussies
Name:
Karina (female)
Area:
Perth, Western Australia
Breeds:
Australian Shepherds.
Training: I have been interested and training agility since 1986 (started with a GSD).
About me: I began in 1986 with my first GSD, a bitch. Then in 1989 with a male GSD who attained his AD which at the time was the only agility title available in Australia. My next dog was a Bearded Collie who competed in Agility but was rehomed before gaining title. Along came my first Australian Shepherd, Cody. She has an attention problem so is semi retired. I got an older dog (three years old) Pepper and have so far gained AD, ADX with her, she is now working on her Masters title (seven legs to gain). Australia now has three classes of regular agility - AD Agility Dog, ADX Agility Dog Excellent and ADM Agility Dog Masters. We also have three jumpers levels as of this year, Novice, Open and Masters.
I am late 30's, with one son, 10 years who is interesting in running Pepper in agility. His name is Ben. I am also an instructor in Obedience and agility. Ben and I train using a clicker.
Cutie Pie from Staffs wishes to meet another teen-ager...
I am 16 years old and have just started training in agility, obedience and also heelwork to music. I hope to go to KCJO camp in summer. I have two dogs. They are both rescues and my first two.
Dizzy (Disco Inferno) is a 17 month GSD X WS, she’s working at beginner level in obedience and starters in agility. Cascade (Flibberty Gibbety), Cas for short, she is a blue merle WS and 7 months old, she pops over little jumps nicely. She is starting obedience in January. I have just invested in a whole new set of agility equipment.
My other interests include horse riding, and I like art. I am looking for someone like-minded anywhere in the country (or out of).

Desperate to do agility from the South West...
My name is Sam Green and this is my first season in agility. So far I've done 11 training sessions with my young GSD - but we're both hooked! I'm desperate to train more often and learn more about it.
I would like to make contact with some people in the area. At this stage, I'd like to 'converse' on-line and possibly meet up at a show. It seems there are a few people in the Bristol area, and someone in Paulton. I live in near Wells/Glastonbury and belong to Frome DTC. I am really looking forward to hearing from some locals!

Terv owner looking for another Terv owner...
Doing agility with a Terv seems to have it's own special challenges. There are only two of us at the club that I train at. I would love to have someone else to share experiences with. (11/10/00)
