Big apologies for the late message - new house, no internet! Massive congrats to Hannah Lyon with Alf for a calm and collected spainel?? round in the AC Starters final, and Mandy Axtell with Decker for winning the Medium final - not bad for a cheeky terrier!
Massive thanks to everyone who made the show at Aylesbury a success at the weekend, despite the weather. Hannah and I had lots of nice comments made to us in the announcements box about the club and the show. Those nice comments go a long way - particulary at the end of a long and tiring show, so thank you!
Well done to all the Aylesbury members and their dogs this weekend. Despite working round the clock somehow some of us managed to run our dogs and even get some points. Too tired to remember names - but you know who you are all are, so well done!

Sunny Scunny 6th Summer Show - Many thanks to the judges, scribes and club members, Paws4Agility & Hinckley for working so hard to make this years show go so well. We had higher than normal entries this year over 400 dogs through the five rings, and we were still completely wiped up and sipping the wine by 5.30pm.
Well done to the lucky competitors that were placed in the classes, especially Linda Hutchinson with her young dog. Surprised she didn’t need an extra vehicle to take all her trophies and rosettes home. Really well done to the Scunthorpe Pick Pockets and Scunthorpe Steelers, who had a clean sweep in the Flyball.
On a sad note, this will be the last show that Trev and I will be involved in. We are moving to sunny climes at the end of the year. Thank you to the many well wishes we received over the weekend, and to Jackie Smith for arranging the presentation to us at the end of Saturday’s classes. We have made many friends in our many years of Agility, and we will miss them.

I wish to send my sincere best wishes to Ag. Ch. For by For Turbo Diesel who is currently fighting for his life in the local vets. Last night at 16.00 he went from a normal dog running in the park to being on the operating table 1.5 hours later. The prognosis last night was very glum but following three hours of surgery this morning he is in a stable but critical condition. He had ruptured his gut and has severe peritonitis.
Thoughts are with my family, Lorna, Simon and the children who wait for news to say he is still fighting. Big hugs to all.
Come on Diesel, be a strong little man, you can pull through and be the champ that you always have and will continue to be.

I would like to say a big thank you to Sally Hobdale who helped me with Sasha who had an accident in the Grade 5 Agility ring on the Sunday at Norfolk. She has been checked over by the vet who can't find much wrong with her apart from maybe some nerve damage, so plenty of rest has been prescribed. I have come to the decision of retiring Sasha as I cannot face her doing something like that again. Maybe she can do Veterans or Allsorts when she has fully recovered.
Sasha or Super Sasha of Valgray received her third Jumping win at Wellingborough to make it to Grade 6 and even won the Grade 5 jumping on Saturday morning at Norfolk, so at least she can retire a Senior dog. She came into my life from Valgray at 5 months old and she was manic. She managed to rip the carpets up and tore the wallpaper off the wall. I had my hands full until I got her into agility and then it was full speed ahead. She has always been a jumping dog, always wanting to get round as fast as possible. Placings in Agility were a fluke. Her A-frame contact let her down.
Thank you to Nigel Rudd who first trained me with Sasha, and everyone at Suffolk Five Rivers, especially Jan and Kelly Lockwood. Hopefully you haven't seen the last of Sasha. A final thank you to Debbie Broadhurst for our conversations about Cesar Millan the Dog Whisperer. Staying calm and assertive helped my Billie in the Grade 4 Agility as she came 2nd. I'm going to keep the good work up, especially with Dezle..
