resistant finish

Weight: approximately 15kg, the same as a large bag of dog food
What I liked:
It solved my problem. At 5ft 1in I had always avoided having an A-Frame as part of my practice
equipment because I simply couldn’t handle it on my own. But the day my dog Scout jumped
off the middle of the A-frame in the ring, I knew it was time to do something about it. The
next day I was straight on the phone to Nigel Foreman at DK9.
I asked him
if he could design and build something which I would easily be able to dismantle, move around
and store. The result is the Scout A Frame – named, as you might guess, after the dog at the
root of the problem!
Each side
is around six feet long and folds in half for compact transport and storage. Nigel has even
added a handy 'shelf' which makes it very easy to carry the folded section.
What
could be improved:
I can't really say there is really anything I don’t like about the A frame.
Production:
The wooden construction is every bit as strong and solid as a full size, competition version
and I love it!
Directions how to use etc.
Once Nigel showed me how to take it apart
and put it together a couple of times, I soon got the hang of it.
There are two nuts holding it together at the apex and then a support bar on each side fixed
with a nut and bolt. Simple – and I really can manage it on my own. Once
dismantled, the key to moving it around is the fact that each long side folds in half – it
makes a huge difference.
I believe Nigel is planning to provide
written instructions based on my experiences.
Price:
£265 plus delivery.
Value
for Money:
The extra practice is priceless.
Scout is now
just as solid with her A frame contacts as she is on the dog walk and see-saw.
Overall rating:
10/10 I would
recommend it to anyone. Well done, Nigel. You saved the day.
