 The 2010 CSJ UK
Agility Grand Prix Final took place on Saturday, 21 August at the Teejay Charity show in
Cheltenham. To qualify for the final competitors had to finish in the top three of one of the
seven heats held throughout the country.
The course, set by
judge Kim Hunt, was an excellent finals
course.
She said, 'I always feel it is a great
privilege to be invited to Judge an agility final and I try to provide a challenging course
which reflects the standard required to qualify through the heats. I, therefore, built a
course which had several tricky handling sections together with running sections, too.'
'Sadly the weather was once again
agility's biggest enemy. Just after starting the competition, a horrendous downpour meant I had
to halt proceedings for a short period as I felt continuing would be dangerous for both dogs
and handlers.
However, despite this small setback,
all the competitors worked their dogs to a very high standard, and we saw some fierce
competitive spirit, not dampened by the weather! The sun then came out and shone brightly for
the rest of the evening as can be seen on the winner's photographs. I would once again like to
congratulate all the competitors for their sportsmanship and well done to the winners.'
With winners packs and superb trophies
provided by CSJ and rosettes for all finalists,
it made for a great final.
